Hi all,
On page 4 of s05e05 there are some examples at the bottom about a fictitious “Freddy”. In several examples, there is a の before the はず, yet Koichi didn’t explain why those の’s are there.
For instance, we have, “I expect that Freddy is 30 years old”: 「フレディさん は 30さい の はずだ。」
Could someone please explain to me why the の is there so that I may の how to use it in the future [haha. ha.]? Thank so much!
–Ben
EDIT: Durrrr. I missed the Noun section on the previous page. Never mind, folks. Sorry!
