I’m currently learning season 5 lesson 7-7 where the following sentence appears:

    えいが を み に いきたかったら ”Cineplex” に いきたい です
If we go to see a movie, I want to go to “Cineplex.”

I’m confused by いきたかったら. This ought to be “go” in dictionary form, past tense, then たら form; Meaning いく ー> いった ー> いったら, rather than the written いきたかったら, no?

The only way I can parse the given sentence is that this is the たら form for the たい ender, meaning the correct translation is “If we want to go see a movie, I want to go to “Cineplex”.

You’re right. This is an error in the site.
