I was planning to log on this morning before work, but after last night, couldn’t wake up very easily.

    今朝に早く起きるつもりだったけど、昨日おかげで、今朝、ちょっと起きにくかった。

    Let us indeed join forces!

    ATTN: Even NEW Users!

I highly recommend logging into the teamspeak channel. Even if you can only speak in simple sentences or whatever, I still recommend it.

Even for me living in Japan, I have learned that motivation is not a constant. It generally comes in waves. And for me, teamspeak reignited my fire to study a little harder and more diligently. I think this can motivate anyone to try a little harder.

    Good luck everyone!

oh shit its that time again?

boys and girls, as you may or may not know, the textfugu community itself has created a TEAMSPEAK SERVER.

i am also doing this because of the dangerously low amount of users coming on for the past month or so. this is understandable due to pressures of school, work, personal life etc. but really, only about 2-3 people have been coming on daily. i dont even go on as much as i did before. also its because theres not alot of people and as a result, people just start not coming on anymore. so check it out….yo. NO YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO SPEAK JAPANESE OR SPEAK THROUGH MICROPHONE – WE HAVE TEXT CHAT ALONG WITH VOICE CHAT.

What can you do? Benevolent users such as primal and bbvoncrumb can assist you with your technical problems with anki and stuff, give personal advice about how to study japanese, and help out with some questions that you have about grammar. But to be completely honest, we usually talk about other stuff thats not related to japanese at all (which is alright of course!). Thats where tubatime comes in and rants about how he can change politics for the better and how i brainwashed him into mass purchasing idol merchandise. 洗脳成功!

With that said, for y’all being new to textfugu, this server exists.

Just make sure when you login, copy and paste:

    69.175.103.226:10076

into the section that say “Server Address”

Sure you can learn all by yourself, but who said you had to do it by alone? Also, just come onto Teamspeak a lot, period.

You should bumb this more often, I had no clue that it existed, and I have been checking the forums pretty much daily for the last 2-3 months :(

Sorry guys, it is in the Forum How-To as well. Don’t forget theres a password! Also zeldaskitten, it does matter which version, sometimes if you join with an old version you get all sorts of awful noise because they’ve done codec changes.

Anyway, I will try my best to at least pop in more.

When does this seem to be most active? Might just be my time zone but I’ve popped in a few times, at different times and it seems quiet. Maybe being new I’ve just missed the best times, or just not been lucky enough. Is there a ‘best time’ to go on?

Traditionally its been the evenings in US Eastern or Western time, but lately we’ve been getting a mixed crowd. Generally evenings bring in people the most. But sometimes its the evenings for oceanic too.

Update: I changed this thread into a sticky so hopefully it’ll be obvious to all new members.
