Putting procrastination aside, I should say hello to you all! Now is a good a time as any to get serious. I spent time in the past studying japanese (with a boring and droll TAFE course using Japanese for Busy People) way back in the 90′s in Melbourne.

    Its time to get serious.

The hard part about getting serious is I no longer live in an awesome metropolitan melting pot that was Melbourne with its (no longer existent) Daimaru department store.. Now I live out in the mountainous wilds in America. The internet compensates somewhat but.. you make do with what you have.

Serious Business required signing up here, deciding Japanese for Busy People needed to be replaced with Genki I and some new hiragana + katakana flash cards.

    がんばって!

I hate that condescending phrase so much but sometimes its applicable! I just need to turn it opon myself and drink its bitter tears of condescension to fuel the srs bzns that is learning.

So, time to put the kettle on, have a cuppa and.. がんばって.

    Welcome to TextFugu!

I used to live in the states, now I live on the Gold Coast. ^_^

I too have taken a Japanese TAFE course, and yeah not the best of learning opportunities, but it was interesting. I think it was wise to move from JFBP to Genki.

Check out this thread for some tips on organizing Anki 2 with the early chapters of TextFugu:

You can also use the following thread to track your progress and share your ideas/concerns when you finish a season (gain a level ^_^):

    がんばって!:P
