Hello everyone, I’m a total Japanese beginner from Niagara Falls, Canada. I’ve wanted to sign up for TextFugu for awhile now, and today I finally decided to pay up. Here are my reasons for wanting to learn Japanese.
I want to be able to play Japanese video games that aren’t released outside of Japan.
I want to be able to play Japanese video games in their original language.
I want to be able to watch anime in it’s original language, without subtitles.
I want to be able to read Japanese books, watch Japanese movies and shows, and listen to Japanese music.
I want to go on a trip to Japan.
I want to be able to browse Japanese websites.
I want to learn something that could be useful in the future.
I want to impress the ladies.I’m sure I could think of more if I tried, but that’s what I have for now. Hopefully in the future we’ll be able to help each other on our journey to learning Japanese!

Yeah, the impressing the ladies reason was just a bad joke. In order to talk to women, I would have to leave my house, and that would be awful!
