Just downloading a nice batch of sentences for the just learned grammar was great, why is that not offered starting in season 4 anymore?

I just arrived again there, and for stuff like この, その, あの as well as just seeing some of the adjective vocab in action I’d really like to have a few sentences in Anki from that.

Sure, I can put some in my decks by myself, but I’m having
    a) a ton of discouraging work that wasn’t there before
    and, way more important,
    b) I’m not actually having any proper pronounciation to go along with it in that case.

If there was maybe some more after a few other chapters, sure, but not having anything at all there for 2 whole seasons seems extremely out of place to me… I’m quite disappointed right now to be honest :c

Am I missing anything there? It just makes no sense at all to me to take that out so randomly.

Huh, curious. Somehow I never noticed that.

Guess it does sound like a bit of work to write sentences yourself, but in some ways, doing it yourself is the best practice. And while the pronunciation is helpful, one of the clever tricks about Japanese is that everything’s always pronounced the same – there aren’t any weird exceptions like in English. Well, except for some of the particles…

Joel, I’d be curious then on your opinion. I’m about to hit season 4, I’m going through TextFugu after going through most of the concepts in a class environment.

In terms of creating decks for season 4 / 5, do you think it should be done on a per lesson or could I say wait until the end of the season 4? Or since you didn’t notice, is it hugely necessary at all!

Honestly, I didn’t do any of the Anki stuff, so I couldn’t really comment. In the end, the best thing to do is whatever works best for you.

Of course, I was just looking for an opinion before I began it myself. Thanks for the input!
