hello im francis or you can call me iggy i just found out about tofugu and ive been doing a lot of self study about Japanese literature. But one can only go with so far all by himself and i seek help from other people that has the same passion as i do and im a Filipino/Chinese and i just move here in the USA 2 years ago. Being in a Foreign country makes you feel eerie especially when they have different culture and sense of perspective to different people so i kinda feel the odd ball in the group especially me (in my case). Because my love of Japan as a whole makes my co-workers from six flags think im a total weirdo especially my red neck co-workers not trying to be racist and all but yea..i get ridiculed and left out most of the time. But thanks to my little knowledge in Japanese literature i get to curse and call them names which was fun. :D

so im really looking forward to meet a lot of friends including and koichi sensei and others except for the godzilla that i see in one of the tofugu videos. :D

Why Are You Learning Japanese?

because i want to have an extra skill that i can be proud of learning and i want to satisfy my urge to learn more about Japanese culture and as a undergraduate Computer engineer seeing how Japan is top notch in robotics and technology i would love to grasp , learn and one day live in Japan also
