Welcome to TextFugu!
I’d probably avoid using ぼく in an introduction thread, sticking to わたし would likely be a good idea.
Otherwise, the best way to get your stuff checked out is by using this site:
You make posts and native Japanese people will actually check your work for any mistakes and give you corrections.
Also, check out this guide for using Anki 2 with TextFugu:

You can also use the following thread to track your progress and share your ideas/concerns when you finish a season (gain a level ^_^):

It sounds like you would be a good candidate for WaniKani. It’s a separate system developed by Koichi that solely focuses on Kanji. It works like a game with 50 levels. Most of the Kanji taught in TextFugu are covered in the first 10 levels, so there’s a heap more and it’s even better than using Anki.
You’ll find a link to it with a discount on the dashboard:

You have to sign up for the site and they will send you an invite to join. The first 2 levels are free.

I know what you mean. In school I wanted to learn everything except what was being taught! It was like I thought if everyone was learning it, it couldn’t be that interesting, LOL.

It seems most of us have the goal of reading manga and watching anime. A noble goal if I do say so myself! ^_^

December 22, 2013 at 10:35 am in reply to: TextFugu Season Completions for Great Motivation of Heart! #42883Arash you have inspired me to focus more on my lessons. I’m not going to go for 2 a day, but I’ll see if I can try to finish as much as one of them a day. That said, with the holidays approaching, not sure how I’ll be able to go with this. But I’ll try! >_<
Grats Cimmik. I’m not quite ready to post stuff on Lang-8, but I’m hoping to soon. ^_^
Rewrite is done! And linked in the OP. Took quite a bit longer than I thought it would, but when you see it, you should understand why. ^_^
If you found the guide above to be helpful, please leave a post to let me know. It’s nice to see that all the work I put into it is actually justified. ^_^
If you have any specific requests for additions, feel free to ask and I might be able to add them (assuming I can figure out how to do them).
If you think any part of the guide could be edited for great justice, let me know that too! ^_^
-Cheers!
Yes it would be boring, but so is Anki in general a lot of times.
So I figured if it would help a lot, I could just suck it up and do it. But if not…
Can you describe exactly how you are trying to import the cards?
I too was here a year ago and came back a few months ago, after Anki 2 was released. I also decided to start again from scratch. But I didn’t have any problems importing the files.
So If I could find out exactly how you are doing it, I might be able to see the difference.
And welcome back! ^_^
How much benefit do you guys think there would be in taking one episode of a show, at a high beginner level, and watching it over and over and over, looking up everything until you could understand everything in that one show without subtitles?
