Nope. You go at the pace you feel comfortable, so you could do a lesson in one day or you could do it in 3 days. Whatever you feel comfortable with.

How would I say want to go (verb)?
If 食べに行きます is go to eat and 食べたい want to eat, would want to go eat be 食べに行きたい? If not how do you say, want to go (verb)?

Yes I do want to get some anime posters! I’m going to try and get decorations for my room at Animex which will be on July 31st… Oh and Animex is like an anime convention, but obviously in Mexico… I usually end up spending my money on Pockys though lol.

    Welcome to Textfugu!!!
I’m (relatively) new as well! So do you mind telling us why you’re here and some stuff about you? You don’t have to, but it’d be good if you did.

Anyways good luck learning Japanese and if you need help we’re all here!

Apparently I use this method… without knowing it!
Japanese- I use it the way you describe it, Koichi. The feeling I get when I learn 10-20 vocab in one day is like a tiny weight has been taken off my back. Little by little I’m taking more off until I can gradually stand up… That’s how I see it… Don’t know if I explained myself correctly…
I also use this method in guitar playing… Sometimes practicing the repetitive riff is boring but when I think of rocking out and playing like Metallica I try learning a certain part harder! Of course guitar is already fun… but if everything has an up it must have a down!
I use it in Math but again math is already fun to me ;)
Of course Japanese is fun, too!

@Kelovar, That’s right some anime does have a mature sense to it that makes you think about a certain aspect of life (judgement, trust, friendship and what not).

I agree with winter, and i also thought of commenting it: Weeaboos.

So inspiring! It makes me think, if he could do it (learn Japanese, go to Japan) back then (no access to internet, at least, not lately), not as many learning options, then I can do it. Plus earning that kind of money is like a dream come true! I can imagine my self with an M18x Alienware Laptop, a medium sized room (not too big not too small… like those rich people apartments), little anime figurines of Death Note/other animes on my desk, an Ibanez guitar with who knows what so long as it sounds awesome… I could go on but, moral of the story:

If you want something, try hard and you will get it.

I agree. It’s heartbreaking (in a way) when I think of all the people who watch anime and just think like they know it all! That’s what I think distinguishes me from the other anime lovers (holding off on manga, because I want to be able to read that in Japanese).

Oh and as long as someone from Textfugu is reading this they won’t be offended, since they are already different from those “masses” since they already took the initiative of learning Japanese (and hopefully will stick with it ’till the end!), it should offend the “masses”, though (unless they are to ignorant).

One more thing, I think you hate ignorant people ;P
