Your posts are starting to make a bit more sense… Not that much, thoughWelcome to Textfugu!
Out of curiosity when were you born? I’m 14 too, 15 next january. If someone is younger than me I’ll feel old…
I think there are many ways, but usually it’s the object and then the counter before the noun or whatev. I think it’s similar to an adjective.
腕が一本まだ見つかっていないだろ? One arm still hasn’t been found, huh?
Also couldn’t you use の as in 四匹の猫
Saw this sentence 「この死神は人間界に落とした一冊のノートから…」.Welcome!
And it’s good you already have a Japanese friend, you can help each other.
Good luck with your studies ^.^

I think Textfugu puts a quote on top of each page. I don’t remember.
I usually only see it pronounced li in songs or specific people(mostly anime).
I tend to pronounce it ri (DadDY, maybe? American accent not british) because it sounds idk less girly, but that’s just me. 帰り道、光、鳥、立派、Sound better with a (hard?) り、except in songs, where rll sounding りs sound more musical/softer.
ProTip: Get a hobby. Anime, idols, listening to japanese news, or better yet a combination of it all.
BTW missing, what AKB48 centered variety shows do you watch/exist? I only watch Jidoushabu and AKBingo, but I’m sure I’m still missing out on a lot, 例えば This one where Itano tomomi vs. some EXILE member were playing a dancing game… seemed interesting. I’m really gonna try to get the best of my increasing interest in AKB48 >.>
Now that I remember the way I learned english, it makes the immersion method much more credible. I was placed in kindergarten with my only knowledge of the english language being bathroom and apple. Can’t remember much, but by the time I was in 2nd grade I knew English, as much or even more than my classmates. English school+english tv+english friends made for an awesome immersion environment. I didn’t forget spanish, though.
The method he describes just seems too perfect. It all clicks and makes sense, at least to me.
@kanjiman8 Studying means different things to everybody. Khatz probably studied, he just didn’t call it that. He calls it “getting used (to japanese)”, “sentence mining” and so on. In the end, his FUN immersion environment drowned out anything that might be called studying…
Try it, see if it works. Of course imagine wasting 10,000 of your life only to find out it didn’t work… Also I remember reading that AJATT is about applying his advice to your life/needs. In other words no one will ever experience the same “AJATT method”.
In short, do what feels right. lol

えっ?… 僕だけ?In regard to bk1, what is the difference between 出荷済み and 出荷完了? I see that in most guides it explicitly says 出荷完了, and it’s been around 8 weeks since I placed my order… Just thought it might have something to do with it.
All help appreciated!
January 22, 2012 at 8:00 am in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #24925How do you pronounce 中 when used for example:
ダウンロード中
インストール中
etc.
ちゅう Or なかHaha I used to live in Charlotte NC, before I moved back to Mexico. But I probably wouldn’t have started learning Japanese if I hadn’t. Loved and still love Charlotte =P
Happy New Years!
