Ok that makes more sense, an implied verb that’s not mentioned at all.
And while I’m at it just a quick question or rather confirmation…
信じたものは都合のいい妄想を 繰り返し映し出す鏡
「都合のいい妄想を繰り返し映し出す」 is just modifying 鏡, right? So “The things I believed in are a mirror that repeatedly reflects convenient delusions” would be a possible translation? If I’m right, I should really stop using translations since they just change everything and confuse me… >.<I didn’t go through all the hassle, just studied the story and used the deck without modifying it at all. And when I didn’t remember I clicked on the frame number which would take me to the story on the website Reviewing the Kanji, to re-study the story.
December 23, 2011 at 8:10 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #22933ありがとうを浮かべた赤に On the red that expressed thanks
やさしいうたを (This action)
Why is there an を at the end? Also another example later on in the song (Palette):
ありがとうを溢した白に On the white that spilled thanks
やさしいキスを (This action)Woooaahh…
So as to not make a new thread I’ll ask here:
Does the shipping address have to be in a specific order? It just says Address line 1 2 and 3 and doesn’t really say where to put street name, city, state. What do I put in 配送先名称? An example of all of it would be nice, I just want to make sure everything is right so nothing can screw up.http://lang-8.com/193491/journals/1222486
Been a while since I’ve made a journal.
@マーク So your hand writing is filled with awe? That’s pretty arrogant :PAlso, I see some people are starting with RTK. All I have to say is “Best Choice Evah” to you.

Could anyone provide a literal translation? The closest I’ve gotten to understanding it is: Population is large, prosperous place of commerce. Or… (More naturally) Place where population and commerce is abundant. But I’m really not sure, so help please?I agree with winterpromise, if you play the same game for days straight your gonna get bored and tired of it, however if your truly want/love it then you will come back to it for sure.

December 10, 2011 at 6:03 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #22337Could anyone explain として? I’ve ran into it twice in dictionary definitions… here are the sentences/definitions:
かおく [家屋] 建物としての家.
ほどこ・す [施す]・ 恵みとして与える。Finished Step 3 of Core 2k vocab after days of staying at 590, so now I know 600 words :o
I took a 5 day break of not learning anything and just reviewing and immersing. I gotta say I feel a lot more motivated now! Breaks are awesome.Actually that’s great! Thanks :P
Thanks, I guess I’ll be buying me some manga and novels this christmas XD.
Hehe, me too =P
Yeah I’d consider songs the hardest to translate. Even some songs in English don’t make sense. Grammar is what you need to learn more of. I’m going through a Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar, and I’ve gotta say it’s amazing! You can get the whole book in PDF… By searching on google hint hint.
