遊びに来る is a set phrase. But it still kinda means the same thing y’know.
You can also use rikaichan for that, it’ll tell you if it’s an expression or whatever.I have a feeling that this year’s Fibonacci Conference will be as big as the last two combined!
I finally get it!!! =DNovember 14, 2011 at 1:26 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #20823It’s from Core 2k.
So if I put a が instead of のit will mean the same thing? Does 方 mean person or way here… Still confused.November 13, 2011 at 1:02 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #20784質問のある方はどうぞ。Please feel free to ask any questions.
I don’t understand the grammar at all :/ この文法が全然分からない。
Could anyone explain?Yesss do RTK.
Also I’d probably just study for N3 or higher. I’ve read countless times that it’s not worth the money to do N5 and N4. If you want, do practice exams online or better yet try to get a hold of past JLPT exams.
But honestly do RTK, it makes you pwn noobs who study kanji any other way.
@irmoony: How many words do you do per day? I just started and I’m almost done with step 1. Just want to know what others do :P
When I finished Textfugu I did RTK which I HIGHLY recommend and Tae Kim up to Special Expressions will help. I’m not really using a textbook (because they bore me) and instead working through A Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar… Also doing Core 2k Vocabulary since I recently finished RTK.
Whatever you do, make sure you IMMERSE yourself in Japanese or else your time spent studying will be for nothing.
切れる is intransitive, therefore it can’t use the を particle or so I think. It can mean to be sharp or cut well as in このナイフはよく切れる This knife cuts well, or このナイフはとても切れる This knife is pretty sharp.
切る is more straightforward. ハムを切る Cut ham. It’s the transitive form and can use the を particle.
I might be wrong though. If it helps you could try Remembering The Kanji. I only got to 5 stroke kanji before I decided to give up and do RTK.
Odd it works with my iPod. Further proof that iPads suck… No offense :D
Welcome to Textfugu, Tyler. Enjoy your stay at the fugu-hotel! :D
And please do post information about how you got the Monbukagakusho scholarship. I’ve been interested in it for a bit now, but everything might change by the time I finish High school… 3… more… years… What sucks is that the minimum age for Undergraduate is 17 (up to 22) and I’ll be 16 once I’m done.
Anyways good luck ^.^^Does that qualify as spam?
@Hashi, how do you make the red text? You actually “sound” professional/serious.
@Irmoony, what is your native language? Your english is more than excellent… how long did it take?
僕のぉぉぉ勝ちだぁぁぁ!!!
I finished RTK 1!
And now, to learn kanji compunds and everything else at this lightning fast pace everyone who’s finished RTK seems to talk about. -
