Haha Justin, that was ridiculous.
Alright though, thanks guys. That helps. I suppose just persevere and I’ll get the hang of it!To provide some closure for those that were invested, my roommate got a new computer and the old one is now used almost exclusively for Anki. case closed!
Also this band Toe (sucky name) is really good. they do have a lot of instrumental though. and alot of their stuff switches between english and japanese.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaicC0AFwUcscuse me, playlist!
I second the Kicell suggestion. Dunno if you care for this kinda stuff but here -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7D5H6vmcNq8there also some good stuff on this placelist -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jL0-Va80y8A&index=2&list=PLw8fF5DI_lH187VRjNC3sgOieZzAtOoHjSidenote- you guys are being incredibly helpful and patient! i appreciate it, truly.
oiye, sorry it took so long to get back! This week was wild.
So my options – the Android path. the Ankiweb path. And the Anki Adder path (although I couldn’t tell if you can actually run through the decks, rather than just add decks to the main program. i’ll probly give it a go here in a bit), right?
Justin, I’m not exactly sure where to find that. is it the MAC Address? cos if so then yea.
Justin – you seem to know more things than me. I appreciate your help but all of those words are science garble madness to me. I AM looking into your dilemma regarding the music topic though! i’ll get back to you.
Eihiko, i do have access to other computers. how do you i go about doing this? teach me.
Strangeluv. That is a viable option. Thanks brah.
and Eihiko, you have the brilliance right now. Is it risky?Clarity! I understand. Joel- i promise i’ll get off the romaji as soon as i can! but i’ve only been learning for like 2 months, so i’m still trying to get all the sounds and pronunciation down.
Thanks all.
So is it like learning english from an american versus a brit; there’s differences but people will still understand you?
Another question, wizard! There are some differences on the textfugu hiragana/katakana sheets and what other sources say. Like textfugu has じゃ as jya, but i keep seeing it other places (for example, realkana) as just ja. Or ぢ as dzi, where other places say ji. Are there no absolutes!?
To revisit this, all of your input was super helpful. I found Obenkyo on Android to be particularly helpful if anyone else is having a hard time.
Gaawsh, you guys are awesome. I’ll give all this stuff a go. An afternoon though?! 4-5 days? You animals! I’ll get the hang off it though, fo’sho. and Zach, i’m glad to hear that- really not a huge fan of Anki either. I’m more of a chiptune kinda guy, if you catch my drift Otto Roboto.
-And Joel, I found out that the ketchup wasn’t ketchup at all! It was the sickly sweet stench of Lizard poo.
Also- how many kana does katakana have?
Once again, thanks all! Shine on.
