This place is a wasteland :(Hi, Kyle! I think that’s a perfectly excellent reason to learn Japanese. I think learning a new language even just for the sake of learning a new language is admirable, because it can help expand how you think.
This place is a wasteland :(Wonderful! I have always thought about wanting to do that, but since I have no desire at all to pay for a degree (I’m in the programming field with enough experience nobody requires it of me), I don’t see that being an option. Maybe picking up a programming job, though…
Anyway, good luck again! :) Feel free to speak up or just chat over in Off Topic if you want to keep yourself coming back here. I use the forums to lure me back because I’m bad at initially setting habits.
This place is a wasteland :(All I’ve ever found is putting the cards in a new deck. Honestly, I kept trying to adjust how I was learning in Anki, and eventually just gave up and let Anki go on its own, and it worked out just fine.
The only problem I’ve ever had with that is when I spend one day trying to learn katakana and then put it down for a while.

I think I’m going to have to take advantage of WaniKani soon. I’m hearing a lot of good things about it, and I only played around with it when it was first coming out, so I’m sure it’s a lot better at this point.
