He/they are on Spotify too.
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.Sorry about the delay! I sort of ripple through the entire forum like a wave every few days. I’m currently working full time and I don’t want to say “here do this!” And then leave you for half a week with a broken Chromebook when it doesn’t work.
If you wait til the weekend, I can do some research and run a simulation beforehand to make sure that it’ll work. I might even be able to package a version of Anki for chromeos like Justin mentioned (I’m not afraid of dependencies >:D).
Do you know the exact name of your Chromebook?
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.Kon’nichi wa, Krystel!
Charlie’s such a lucky duck! You should tell her to bring you along next time she goes to Japan c;
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.Eh, as long as you back up the data, it shouldn’t be risky. Both Android OS and Chrome OS are free to download, so you can always put Chrome OS back if things don’t work out.
Do you have a regular computer to work from or is this chromebook your only device?
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.こんにちは、ゼロス!
I have a friend at work who spent a while teaching English in Japan before coming back to the US. I’ve been meaning to ask him about his experience, and when I do, I’ll definitely share what I learned on the forums.
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.Hi Dylan, nice to meet you!
It’s cool that you and your brother will have Japanese in common- my brother is hard enough to communicate with in our native language, let alone a foreign language >_<

If I refuse to call you Dandi, then you can no longer say everyone calls you Dandi o__o
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.Do you not have access to a desktop computer / laptop?
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.I don’t know if it’s any help, but “The origin of life” (when referring to the very first living creature) is translated as: 生命の起源
It seems to me that 元 is used in a few terms but is more archaic. 本 is much more frequently used to mean “real/true” than “origin.” 源 is your best bet for most sources/emitters, like a heat source, or a light source, or the source of a river. In the above example, 起源 is the source of a beginning, ie an origin.
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.Yay, glad to hear it’s working. Welcome! :D
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him. Some people are so genuine and kind; I feel bad that they have to live with the rest of us ‘>_<
But yeah, now you HAVE to learn Japanese. This man’s children are depending on you.
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.こんにちは、Liv! Do you have any particular aspirations for what you want to do for a living in Japan?
Not from the desk of Eihiko. Eihiko's boss took his desk away from him.If you’re adventurous, you can wipe Chrome OS and put Android on your Chromebook. It’ll basically function like an oversized smartphone (without the data plan), and Anki has a decent android app.
