Moi! Hauska nähdä, että suomalaisia TextFugun käyttäjiä löytyy! :) I noticed your thread before I posted my own, so I named it “Hello from Helsinki” instead of “-Finland”. ;)

Really? We’re on similar ground then, I hope we can both achieve our goals!

Cool! :) I hope the same. What are your hobbies?

What kind of manga/anime do you like?

My tastes are diverse. Really the only kind of manga/anime I don’t like is horror. Right now I’m mostly interested in historical stuff, since history is one of my interests anyway. I’m currently reading a book about Tokugawa Ieyasu. I have been thinking about watching Rurouni Kenshin, since it’s a historical anime, but I’m more interested in something before the Meiji era. Unfortunately I don’t know any anime concerning the Sengoku era or any older period. Another genre I’m interested in is crime/gangsters/yakuza, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of that stuff either.

Then I like anime/manga about everyday life. Right now I’m watching K-On and Hikaru no Go, which are both awesome.

Welcome to TextFugu and Happy New Year!

I’ve done a bit of Thai boxing as well. Stuff’s hardcore.

    がんばって!

I only began a few weeks ago and it sure seems so. But I don’t know if I’ll continue beyond the beginner’s course. I’m more interested in teamsports, such as football or ultimate frisbee, and if I want to play either of those in summer and continue working out at the gym I won’t have much time for Thai boxing.

    Thanks for welcoming! :)

No mutta terve! :D I’m from Helsinki as well and introduced myself here only a few hours ago. Did my thread inspire you to create yours? :)

Your reasons to study Japanese sound similar to my own. I also study at the university.
