You can lower the amount of new cards in Anki too… I’m currently in that grip XD trying to learn all the na-adjectives right now.

For the verbs, I just get to it every morning, first thing, and I adopted the X calendar so I won’t tell myself that today is not a good day to study ! 6 X so far.
I also found so memonics but with french (my native langage) I could not learn きめます　so I found the memonic “Je décide qui me masse les fesses!” which means “I decide who massage my bum.”
I’m a little bit lost to not have the sentence deck to study at the end of the lesson thou… I think I’m going to make one… because I learn vocabulary much faster in context.
