None of us at TextFugu have any experience programming for either iOS nor Android, so I’d say that both are just as unlikely :p

I think Windows Vista and above can all unzip files natively.

I’ve seen that encryption message pop up with virtually every file I’ve unzipped Windows. Not quite sure why it happens, but it sounds like you did the right thing

I dunno, I get the sense that the hip-hop scene in Japan is pretty healthy, but I don’t really have a whole lot to base it off of. But there have been some pretty big names like Krush and Honda that have been around forever, a ton of international acts always stop by Japan while touring, and there’s a lot of international collaboration (just look at the Teriyaki Boyz’ debut album).

I’m just not really sure how to measure the size and health of a music scene. Obviously the US has a big hip-hop scene, but how do we know that?

In terms of instrumental hip-hop, there’s of course Nujabes and DJ Krush. Both do a kind of chill, jazz-inspired hip-hop.

Over on the Reviewing the Kanji forums, there’s a very long thread with YouTube links. I haven’t had a chance to go through it all, but it seems interesting!
