Because the desktop version is free, and the guy has to make money? He made pretty much everything, including the apps I think. Very talented guy, and the program is amazing.
Also, anki is worth way way more than 2200円 imo. Where would I be if it wasn’t for anki? 0.o don’t use it if you don’t like it, I would like to see how fast you can progress without using anki… That would actually be quite interesting. Be sure to come on the forums in ½ a year, I would like to know your vocab/grammar knowledge by then.

That is a very nice video :p
Could also just watch 「横山由依がはんなり巡る京都・美の音色が放送になります!」 though those episodes are quite a bit longer lol.

@giga maybe that is the right way to understand it, or it is totally off lol. But that is all I can help you with ^^ Just ask on lang-8 or something if you need to clarify it :P

@bbvon Yeah that is true, I hadn’t really thought about it being used with that word. I don’t know if that merges together with this “う音便” thing though, since the post I found said this only applied to true i-adjectives.

in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #33384

Is it possible to get the context? That would make it easier to help :)

What I can find about this is actually quite interesting :)
You can apparently do something that is called う音便, where いい is changed to ゅう in 形容詞(i-adjectives). This can be done in 丁寧語(polite language), but according to what I have been able to read, it is a little over the top. This will result in ->おいしいです->おいしいでございます->おいしゅうございます. Another example presented was よろしゅうございます(よろしい).

If it doesn’t match the context, then it must be something else, but I learned something new from this :P

You should follow her on google plus, this is what you can expect from her once she gets back her telephone.
Or just follow the entire AKB group with a few clicks here.

After reading through this in order to find out why ゆうこす(菅本裕子)had suspended updating google plus, I decided to make a new deck for anki for all the vocab that is related to 2ch/idols. Most of the words I added are already fairly familiar, but I saw some new words that I want to remember, so I now made this new anki deck which was already long overdue due to the fact that I have been busy with core 2k until now.

    @Gigatron
That is a new segment that was introduced last week, so unfortunately there aren’t any previous episodes that have this exact segment. This weeks episode does however have the exact same segment :) I haven’t gotten around to watching the entire thing due to having been chatting with a Japanese guy for like 3hours today lol, but I will watch it later. I hope it is as fun as last week, but takamina needs to ask interesting questions just like yukirin did in order to do make it just as fun:D Unfortunately I can’t link you to the episode but just ask missing ;)

What episode did you watch? The content of AKBINGO! changes all the time, so recommendation of episodes require that we know what kind of episode you watched ^^. Other than AKBINGO! there is a rather enormous amount of other TV appearances done by AKB-members(not to mention NMB, SKE & HKT), but I think you will have to get an interest in some of the members in order to enjoy some of these shows.
For that reason I would say AKBINGO! is probably a good place to start out, but if you are specifically looking for other shows, then something like AKB’s appearance in ガチガセ was hilarious and I think you would find it highly entertaining even without knowing any members. Now at 11th episode I gotta admit 自動車部 is getting pretty boring, but almost all of it is subbed in Japanese, and you will get to use a lot of your transportation related vocab ^^.

In that case was this sentence wrong?
この レストラン で すごい シェフ が いる

    はい、間違いがある。
    この文章のほうが正しいでしょう。
    「このレストランでは凄いシェフがいる」

well she has to give something back to all the fans that helped her with her homework xD

in reply to: The Study Thread #33187

Yes he actually did lol. I was surprised haha. though he ain’t wota, he seems like a cool guy ^^

This pretty much sums up the reply, so yeah, he ain’t wota at all. He doesn’t even watch AKBingo :/

I still don’t mind adding him on skype though. Not having kojiharu, yukirin or marikosama as your oshi means you at least know just a bit about AKB :P
