Interesting debate…
Can we go back to holding hands and skipping through the flower fields now? :)
I cram then forget, since I actually don’t care about either language.
I can only remember very few words but weirdly, whenever I see a German or French sentence I can sometimes read it and/or understand at least what they are basically trying to say.

Welcome to TextFugu, Marvin.
Let’s hope that this time you’ll be motivated enough to continue!
I want to become fluent in Korean as well as Japanese but I’m only concentrating on Japanese at the moment as I find it hard to struggle learning 2 languages at the same time.
I’m learning German and French in School at the moment (3 years of compulsory learning of those languages) but luckily this is my final year as I start my GCSEs next year. (I spoke and wrote Japanese (in romaji) once during a French lesson instead of French haha! I finally realized and it took me AGES (and my friends help) to remember the French I was supposed to write.)Good luck learning Japanese!

@Mister, It sounds right to me – at least, I can understand you’re saying “Please don’t worry.”
That’s relieving, then.
I actually wonder if anybody has ALL THAT memorized, though.I actually hardly have anything Japanese related in my room. *sad face*
I WANT POSTERS OF ANIME AND J-ARTISTS.
Welcome to TextFugu, Aaron.
What are your reasons for learning Japanese?
Good luck!
106,230 kanji exist?!?!
*dies*
They sell hotdogs in McDonalds in Japan?!
That’s hilarious! Yet also unhealthy…Haha, a Vocaloid (巡音ルカ) singing screamo. I thought it’d be s**t, to be blunt but I actually love it. <3

Believe it or not, all of the screamo verses are in English and most (not all) of the chorus is in Japanese.
Welcome to TextFugu, chedkid!
Aww, I’m jealous by the fact you’ve already been to Japan!
However, I think it’s awesome that by going to Japan that channeled your interest to learn the Japanese language. I also think that going to personally thank your host family for their hospitality is a really sweet reason! What was it like living with your host family? I’d love to be able to stay with a host family whilst staying in Japan for a little bit but I fear how the host family are and the costs of everything, etc. I just want to hear your experience as I know everything is different for everyone.
Good luck learning Japanese!

Koichi, what have you been feeding him?!
Welcome to TextFugu!
It’s never too late to start, as long as you aren’t on your death bed.
You have a huge advantage to learning Japanese and you seem to be catching on pretty quickly, having only been in Japan for a few months.
Good luck learning Japanese!
