Welcome to TextFugu, Devin!
Being a missionary in Japan? That’s very unique. :)
Good luck learning Japanese.
Okay, getting a History essay as my homework wasn’t exactly on the agenda so here’s my study plan now:
Friday: Sort out Anki – import decks from old Laptop to this new Laptop, sort out both my old and new decks and make a deck for this weeks Japanese homework.
Saturday: Start TextFugu again.
No excuses this time. :D
Oh wow, it seems like you had an amazing experience! I’m jealous. ;)
I really hope you get to go back sometime and thank you for sharing that. :)
Welcome to TextFugu, Thomas!
You don’t always have to have a particular reason for learning Japanese as long as you keep yourself motivated to learn. :)
I also find it quite amazing that you taught yourself how to play the piano and to create websites.
Good luck learning Japanese.
Welcome to TextFugu, Ryan!
Would you be able to tell us more about your trip? How did you go? Where did you visit? What did you like the most? Was it expensive?
Good luck learning Japanese.
I’mma call you Cookie Monster…
Welcome to TextFugu!
Good luck learning Japanese.
Welcome to TextFugu, Katrina!
I took 2 years of German at School (it was compulsory) and I have to agree that it’s very angry sounding. My teacher was always so aggressive with her words.
I’m happy you have the confidence to show your face without makeup and feel that other people should do the same – it’s nice to know not everyone feels like they have to hide behind a mask. :)
I’m very different though – it’s literally impossible for me to leave the house without makeup. Ah, having low self confidence and being self conscious doesn’t really make me feel better. :pGood luck learning Japanese.
Welcome to TextFugu, Sharon!
Good luck learning Japanese.
Best website for drilling Hiragana and Katakana into your brain.
It took me 6 weeks to learn Hiragana because my Japanese tutor was teaching me 10 characters a week and back then I purely used her resources and only learned what she taught me/wanted to learn.
For Katakana, it took me about a week because I finally realised there was such a thing as self learning and the Internet did have resources. :p
I never said I followed what people believed. :p
Besides, J-Trance makes me concentrate harder somehow. o_o
Today: Japanese tutoring after School – I think she’s teaching me basic sentences today.
Tomorrow: Start TextFugu all over again.
Welcome to TextFugu, Ryan!
I see you’ve decided to sway away from the most common action of work in Japan for foreigners.
Good luck learning Japanese.
Shhh Sheepy. :p
Welcome to TextFugu, Jaccob!
If I were you I would take advantage of the fact you have a population of Japanese people in your area. In my town, there’s only one native Japanese person who is ironically my Japanese tutor.
Good luck learning Japanese.
You should stay in a Capsule Hotel for one night whilst in Tokyo if you’re not claustrophobic. :p
