What you can do is use Google for now until there is a better alternative :P
Google “subject” site:www.textfugu.com/bb
for example wanikani site:www.textfugu.com/bb
I don’t do this but I think it maybe relevant. You could try to imitate how actors learn to memorize dozens of scripts. They do it quickly but in your case you could take your time.
1. First you need lines, just Japanese sentences. Organize them in a script: questions/statements + different responses
2. Act. Take different perspectives. Each with their own characters, personalities which include different emotional state; angry voice, bored, happy etc. Don’t forget to move your body accordingly, to these characters’ personality.Do them consistently, after awhile the sentences just roll of your tongues like actors/actresses performing. Heh, pronunciation would be horrible I imagine unless you learn them as you do this…
* Also Google is a good start, search ‘How to memorize scripts’ or something. Example: http://plays.about.com/od/basics/a/memorizelines.htm
I’m writing a thesis about memory and just came across this study: http://www.psychologicalscience.org/pdf/cd/actors_memory.pdf
Not a good writer so please don’t mind the awkward sentence structures etc
That isn’t always necessary, especially if you are not good at remembering these symbols by heart quickly aka cramming and it will only slow down your learning, stress or/and bore you perhaps.
You should go through all the kana in a couple of days or so depending on your rate of learning, make sure you at least recognize(not necessarily know) most of the characters when you’re done, print them out, write them down on your hands etc for easier recognition/recall.
The more you use them, the more you recall/recognize the more it helps to consolidate them in your long-term memory. On second thought, don’t cram kana!
Cheers and good luck =)
I want to add that living- eating healthy, avoiding sleep deprivation are essential to help keep a clear mind. Of course you should always do that but only a few knows how much it affects us, especially our brain and takes it for granted =/
@OP You seem to think that forgetting is a bad thing but it’s really not and you shouldn’t be stressed out by it =O
“Reviewing information in ways that involve active retrieval seems to slow the rate of forgetting”(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forgetting) basically the whole idea behind all spaced repetition programs (Anki etc). Also the more time that passes, the slower the rate of forgetting. So don’t freak out about the fact that you forget so much initially, it’s completely natural. (see forgetting curve)
If you are interested there are more theories(ways) of how improve learning, Google should do the trick so I won’t get into unless you want to… to get you started:

February 1, 2012 at 4:19 am in reply to: Has anyone else been experiencing problems with Google Chrome on Windows lately? #26174Yep, Flash (again)and Google people are aware of the problem.
If switching to HTML5 didn’t work then you could try something that finally fixed it for me, crashed after only once, which is a much better improvement or maybe Google has fixed it since? Anyway here is how:
1. option –> advanced option –> content setting –> Plugins –> disable individual plugins.
2. click on +detail on top right corner.
3. disable (oldest) Flash. There should be 2 Flash files.
4. Restart.- This reply was modified 12 years, 9 months ago by Ken.
Simple ftw =D http://i.imgur.com/BENk8.jpg
Blood types don’t affect personality (>_<). Its just myth and all these pseudoscience stuff can be harmful =\
I’m in for a civil debate haha, need to improve as well as learn Japanese anyway xD
Also a confession: I hit a small ‘depression’ (don’t want to trivialize the word but can’t think of the English word for it) for the last 3 months. I still practice on Anki on my phone from time to time but not much. Glad to say its over and already pumped up to be studying Japanese again. School/job is overwhelming but apparently consistency is the key so there is hope /rambling.
@bro hugs
Its laying on my desk for months, can’t decide where to put it *__*.
Next year I start with the university thing if everything goes right, been doing lots of reading. Love neuroscience, so going with biology fields…
I couldn’t find you :(. Could you try finding me, (Ken Toshirou)=/
Have you created a circle yet? I could not find it =/…
