Sigh, I’ll stay out of it. I guess I don’t understand because I haven’t been here as long, but right now I feel like $20 is completely worth it. Perhaps that will change with time. Who knows?
You people are vicious.
>It’s like buying a real life textbook with half the pages missing: yeah, the manufacturer says he’ll send the pages on as soon as possible, and you *can* use other stuff in the meantime, but then it kinda defeats the purpose of buying the book in the first place.
So are you saying that TextFugu is “incomplete”? If anything, I think of it as a textbook that has magical appearing pages at random times. Are you disappointed in TextFugu? Did the free trials lead you to think it was more than what it is? I’m not sure what the big deal is here. I enjoy TextFugu, I am thankful for TextFugu and all of Koichi’s efforts to make this an easy and understandable learning process, and at the price of $20 a month it is more than worth it to me.
I don’t think it has ever claimed it should be anyones one and only resource nor that it is “intermediate”. Actually, the TextFugu Gakuu.com discount link says, “Textfugu teaches you the basics and how to learn Japanese most effectively. But you’ll also need to get used to more advanced material too. That’s where Gakuu comes in! We explain the trickier aspects of the language and culture by breaking down real stuff that Japanese people use themselves every day.” and “Gakuu gives you room to grow your Japanese and future-proof your learning. It’s the perfect partner to Textfugu!” ORLY….
I guess I just can’t wrap my head around someone providing a fun/ affordable source for learning something, but when it no longer meets your needs you don’t think its good enough? If this is how you feel, were ALL the lessons this way? Were you thinking this the entire time? Did you feel that every single lesson was lacking? Or just the later ones? What the heck guys! Koichi, don’t flex these punks!
I mean if it’s so easy…. why don’t you guys create a Japanese learning site? :PPPPP
i want to post images.
this.
Whenever I have had trouble with PayPal in the past I just call them and they fix it right away (because I know they take forever sometimes and don’t want to wait). So maybe you should just give them a call?
ALSO, I thought the forums were for ‘paying’ members only? How are you posting but not being able to do lessons?
Haha, clever idea, although this probably isn’t the right place to ask. I’m sure most people here are saving up for their own trips. I wish you luck!
Oh I think I get it now..

(-___-)Hm, I only understand the obvious to understand part.. :/
Happy Thanksgiving! I got a week off of work/ school. Convenient!
Nope cartridges aren’t region coded, you just have to remove the tabs so the Famicom cartridge fits in the SNES slot. I don’t think Nintedo games are coded until the gamecube, and all the handhelds are region free. :)
@Mister – Awesome. My boyfriend and I have a SNES with about 60 games, we clipped the tabs so it can play Super Famicom ones, although all we have right now is 星のカービイ:スーパーデラックス, Kirby Super Star in the US.One of the reasons why I am learning, for the media!
Been making myself write sentences with all the verbs to help me memorize them. Seems to be working.
Going to download/ join tonight :3

@MisterM2402: Well, I still have to wash it and stuff… If it gets damaged I’ll have get the ends cut and end up going nowhere :PPPPPOther than that I love absolutely every other aspect of my self (♥ w ♥)
