Yeah I wish I had started WaniKani way sooner as well. But then again there is probably no such thing as too much reviewing when it comes to kanji. Also WaniKani workload is very low compared with Textfugu at least in my opinion. So it is more of a relaxing than studying for me right now :)

You can get a browser addon for WaniKani where you can eliminate typos manually. If you make a mistake, you can “reload” the kanji/word/radical like nothing happened. Can’t tell you how many times it has saved me already. Just resist the temptation of cheating if you use it!

I don’t see these messages here too often so I just wanted to share this with all of you real quick. Today I finished Season 8 of Textfugu with the funny story in the final practice page. I would have never imagined I could understand so much of it at the first glance but I did, and this is a testament to Textfugu’s teaching methods in my opinion. Thanks again for this wonderful journey Koichi! I feel like I am comfortable to advance into intermediate Japanese territory after going through this material.

So what is next for me? First I am going to go through all grammar lessons in Textfugu again to review things. I have started Wanikani and advancing towards level 6 there, that will take care of the vocab/kanji reviews for sure. I have started “teaching myself” with the painstakingly corrected 8547 Japanese Sentences ANKI deck by making my own kanji mnemonics and compiling decks for every word I am not familiar with. When I feel ready I plan to advance into language shadowing with EtoEto alpha/beta and perhaps gonna give Fluentu a try as well.

Welcome! Hope you find this as useful as I have so far (almost through season 5, and learning faster and faster).

Hey there and welcome! I did the same about a week ago and am heading up for Season 2 review now. Good luck to us both on the journey. This is addicting stuff (so far).
