Thanks a lot for putting all of these resources together! I’d never heard of imabi so I might check that out. ^^ also, hi everyone ~ good to see you still around, Michael!
Late night (early morning?) listening to OceanLab when I’m stuck with insomnia and can’t sleep. Makes me feel better.

I am still here, lurking mostly. Still pushing on, although last year was rough so it wasn’t good for me learning-wise… but I am back in full force. :)
Edit: by the way, I don’t remember posting any of that. O___O who am I, silly silly me

Oh, well… recently, some websites I regularly visit have been reported by google as being attack sites. I thought Textfugu had been hit too, but I realized I didn’t close the message at the top of my browser from a previous website visit… and I think it’s just websites with tons of ads anyway. :s derp. i run adblock/noscript so I can’t tell.
Yeah, kind of annoying. I like to get an idea of what I’ll be facing the next day so I can plan accordingly… though I suppose it doesn’t matter too much. I had to set my daily card limit pretty high so I don’t miss any review cards… the idea of only doing 100 cards/day is tempting, but I feel like I would be missing out on too much and it would mess with my memory. Overall, the new updates aren’t bad, I guess. I definitely like the way that new cards are handled!
Well, you can set a limit to how many reviews you do that day. By default it looks like it’s set to 100 cards per day… you can change it. Maybe that helps?
I like Audiosurf too, but this is a bit different and more difficult imo. :P If you’re someone like me who doesn’t watch Anime (ever), it’s fun to go through the different songs and learn the beats.
There’s this: http://www.youtube.com/user/tbsnewsi/featured
It’s not live, but they upload several videos every day with up to date news. Most of them are short, but you can watch them one after another from their playlist.
Best of all, it’s free. :) Hope this helps.Edit: Forgot to add that you can also turn on the Japanese subtitles if you want to keep up with your listening. Makes things a bit easier, too.

:O No… derp. I put it in there and now it works. Thank you! I just never had to do it manually before; it always automatically went into the folder.
I don’t regret subscribing at all, regardless of lack of content. It gave me a jumping start to the point where I don’t need someone to hold my hand or a structured learning guide (and if I do, Tae Kim’s guide is MORE than sufficient for my grammar-learning needs if I ever come across something I don’t understand).
It gave me the motivation to learn and push forward, despite how discouraged I felt, and the confidence to wander off on my own without fear of that giant mass of squiggly characters. :] I would have never come this far without Textfugu, so I am extremely grateful. Also, what Tony said. ^^

Is anybody able to tell me what the kanji in this word is? I’ve been looking forever and I can’t make it out for the life of me. http://oi41.tinypic.com/15wb613.jpg
