Ok, so I am going to go see a movie tonight at a theater so I was wondering how you would ask for a ticket
Like for example I am going to go see Titanic so would it beタイタニックお願いします
Or… would it be something else Please help!
so, if you go to buy something and you set the item on the counter to check out would you then say
これおねがいしますsomeone I know said you would say
これをかいたいですBut I was sure it would be
これおねがいしますso if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated :D
Apparently they charge you roaming if your phone is on even if you aren’t using it and i used my phone as an alarm…. so i kept it on all the time… but seriously how can they charge you if you arent using the internet or making a call or using apps O.o…. anyways sorry went kinda off topic.
I will :D I will probably upload some pictures while i am there too I am bringing my laptop with me so I can check my email since last time I went to Japan for a month I got back to a 3000 dollar phone bill…. I fought with AT&T over it because they said with the plan i got it would be cheaper than getting one of those pay as you go travel phones >.< got it down to 900 dollars but still was not happy with them…. if you ever go to japan just buy a phone card much much cheaper!!
ha ha run on sentence ^ sorry about that lol, I was just uber over excited.
Ha ha you guys are absolutely amazing! thank you for all the fast responses :) I leave for japan in 3 weeks and I wanted to try and speak as much as I can in Japanese but I know I am not very good at it so I wanted to be able to say that I’m not good at it yet. THANK YOU!!
ahh alright thank you so much :)
I wanna make sure I wrote this right… so I thought I would check with you guys 私の日本語は下手です。 would be “my Japanese is poor” right?
Not a big fan of anki myself, so on top of Anki I usually make flashcards that I can carry around with me but that’s just me :) let me know if you find any good alternatives to Anki
I have to agree with this 100% I think that not only do they find easy ways to learn they also found a way to make it fun in the process and it is so wonderful to have two people run the site that care about the people just as much as there own website :)
The point that I was trying to make was he had no right to be rude to me no matter what he thinks, if he wanted to suggest me go to that site and said it in a polite way then I would have said thank you and not said anymore about it.
If anything you two are the ones who need to learn to be more polite to strangers/people considering he was rude and now you are just insulting me for asking for help, I am only trying to defend myself.
You Patronize me by saying “I’m assuming you’ve defiantly decided to not look it up” You know NOTHING about me, I had already looked it up long before the first reply ever came, i had started looking before I posted but had a bit of trouble finding it so I posted to ask before I continued looking so I would have another way of getting the answer in case I couldn’t find it for some reason.
I have been to Japan before and I have no issues with them because they are kind and respectful so we have no arguments what so ever.
and another thing, I never said I expected people to do everything for me, I was asking for help so I would know in the future what it meant, I thought that was what Textfugu forums where about, a place that people could seek help.
I asked one simple thing geeze
メニュー what is that part in either Hirigana or Romaji…. not so good at katakana yet LOL and I have been to Japan before…. last time I went i only knew how to say a few phrases… so you should of seen me try and order back then! that was horrible XD most of the time i ate bento boxes or in places that had the electronic menus that you can switch to English to order and a lot of sandwiches from the 7-11 by my hotel XD
how would you say “do you have a menu in English” in Japanese, though i can read hiragana and some katakana my mother who is going to japan with me can’t speak or read a word of Japanese so I would like to be able to ask for an English menu for her please help we leave very soon :)
