Hello Jacob,
So I’m pretty sure you passion list ist about japanes food or cooking, isn’t it? ;-)
Well mine too, one of my reasons to learn japanese, that I’d love to be able to read japanes cooking books ^_^Just like me.
Now it becomes at least a bit challenging. I made it to season2 8.4 in 10 Days. With taking a lot of notes. I’m on my second notebook. I love to take my notes by hand, even if it takes longer than typing.Hi Carlos,
Thank you for borrowing ^_^
Well now I’m at Season 2-7.9 and it begins to become more challenging no, because of the vocabulary. Now I have to move on normal speed through the lessons, even if I already know some of the grammatics that will follow in the next lessons.
Where are you at the moment and how do you proceed?
Hello Carlos,
Ahhh cool. Being able to play japanese RPGs, that could be one of my reasons, can I borrow it ;-)
Just like you I already trieded to learn japanese from different ways, my best was my evening-cours for 3 years. An just as you there came “Life” and you do not got the time anymore to learn and review ass you wish to. So I just began like you from zero 1-2 weeks ago ^_^
Greetings from Luxembourg,
NadineThat sounds good. Good Luck ^_^
Hello David,
I also love to write with someone who like anime. I mostly know some of the non-main-stream animes. My friend always watch a lot of them and there is sometimes one that I like to watch with him. Or a friend who has a really huge collection of anime, showed me one, like: Magnitude 8 (that’s an anime about en earthquake in Tokyo)
Are you sure you never heard about Studio Ghibli? They made animefilms like Totoro, Nausika, Laputa, Ponyo and Howl’s moving castle.
Summerwars is also an animemovie, where the subject is a online network that goes wrong because of a virtual AI.Have a nice day,
NadineHello Rae.
Alors tu comprends le français? ;-)
I’m also speaking german and french. And I had almoste the same problem, as you. I got a lot of people here around, who are very talented in learning an speaking japanese, and me…. I have a lot of problems to recognize the words I already learned when I hear them :(I also think that this side is a good way to get it done. :)

Hello David,
Welcome here ^_^
I’almost mad the same way to japanese like you first Anime, I think, then the rest of the culture, and there I found out, that I unconsciously were in love with japanese thinks whithout knowing that those thinks were japanese, not only asian :-P
For now, I don’t watch anymore that much Anime as some Years ago, but I love to watch Ghibli Films and other Animefilms like Summerwars.
I loved the Mangas and Animes from Clamp. And one of my other favorite Anime is “twelwe Kindoms” (じゅうにこっき)
Watching Anime without having to read the subtitle would be awsome :)Hello Aleithian,
Welcome here.
I’m new here too and also be at Wanikani since some days ago.@David:
Wanikani ist a site where you can study your Kanji just as it described here, first radicals, then Kanji :)I think it is for a forum a bit difficult to exist in these times where everyone is on Facebook. We had to close our board because of that. I’m really glad that there are people like you who give their best to keep this board alive :)
Thank you ^^Hey, you could speak a bit in other languages :)
For me it’s a bit the same. German was never en problem to me, but I don’t like french and all the official documents here in Luxembourg are mostly written in french :S An I don’t got that much possibilities to speak english. TextFugu will help to learn Japanese, but also is a refreshment for my english XD
I just had a quick peek on Benny Lewis Channel, looks interesting and very funny. At least the video I saw.
I really will try to keep up with the Japanese learning. I think this site an forum is the best possibility to support it.Have a nice day.
