There is also the Google IME which is pretty much the same but in long run it’s probably better.

    Google IME Download – https://tools.google.com/dlpage/japaneseinput/eula.html?platform=win&hl=en

To enable either just go to Control Panel > Clock, Language, Region, > Region Language > Keyboards and other input languages > Change Keyboards > Add > Japanese > Select either Google Japanese Input or Microsoft IME

And to use Microsoft press the little EN on your taskbar, switch it to JP.
And to use Google right click inside a text field and click Open IME.

Here is a video tutorial just in case. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5zpoYHlNT4

Hi Amara, Welcome to Textfugu. I hope that you’ll enjoy studying the Japanese culture and language.

And for the profile picture, you need to get an account at Gravatar with the same email you used for Textfugu. Textfugu will then automatically use the avatar on Gravatar. You should also look at this http://www.textfugu.com/bb/topic/forum-how-to/ to learn a little bit more about the forums.

    Good Luck with your studies!

Yea, since I started learning English when I was five, I basically forgot most of my Spanish. I decided to take Spanish because I felt quite annoyed when I tried to speak to my relatives (and also easy language credit).

My school already offers classes that count towards my CompSci degree, in fact I’m taking AP Computer Science right now. And I’m not that persuasive, it took me quite a while before they let me get into AP CompSci.

    Edit: Thanks Hashi
