Joel, the test is twice a year in London. So no, not crazy!

    Did the test!

Actually it wasn’t too bad, I was okay with it, besides the listening, which I struggled with.
I was the only under eighteen at mine! I got some funny looks!
Joel, I know what you mean! Before and after every section we were told if we told anyone anything we would be completely disqualified! Where do you live you were done so early?

I think I will pass anyway! It takes ages for the test to arrive!

I will attempt N3 in July!

Also, I think in future we need to separate me and Mark Weber because it gets confusing.
    maybe call Mark Weber MarkW?

I was done with the current content a while ago, but I still do the new lessons as I think they explain it better then my current grammar book. I think MarkW has a point as there has been massive amounts of errors recently, although I haven’t checked section 5, so that could be even worse. I think he’s right about the quality going down the fancier it gets.

They’re on at the same time, but the levels are fairly distinct so you shouldn’t need to anyway

@yggbert Cool, you’re lucky to have people to talk to!

I make Japanese my main thing for the day, so even when I get distracted and do something else, I go back again.

    What’s with the core 2k and core 6k? It’s core 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 etc. not 2k and 6k

I think 5 years is only if you a) do a college course (Sllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww) b) spend less than maybe 1 hour per day or c) work at a very slow pace (not that there’s anything wrong with it btw).

I think that if you aim to spend 1:30 to 2 hours working on Japanese a day, try to have some Japanese in your normal day and either have a native speaker to practice with or something similar, you could do it in 2………ish years?

Welcome! Good luck, I was at your level 2 months ago, and while I’m still beginner-ish, I’m delighted with my progress thanks to textufgu, so I can say firsthand its a great service!
