Interesting that. I find my girlfriend who is Japanese and learning Spanish has a very accent and her pronunciation is good.  We live in London. Good luck with your foreign languages. Actually, I speak quite good Spanish and visit a few tiems a year (written spanish is very rusty) and now am trying to have a go with Japanese.
