The last time someone mentioned Pimsleur to me, it was a dude I randomly met on Skype who said he was gonna learn Japanese with JUST Pimsleur and skip out on the whole writing process. Fortunately for him, I’ve met a couple of people who are better at speaking then reading so if not for those people, I would have gone off my rockers and trolled him like crazy.
In short, its not something I would recommend.
Thats a pretty hard show but it gives some pretty good insight into the language and clarifies some things that Japanese people take for granted within the language
But one show that I enjoy the most and is one of the most hardest for me to understand is a talk show called
jkl:
Are you watching all those shows on youtube? It is watchable on youtube and youku and stuff.
jkl:
Have you guys reached a level where you can understand most of what is being said without any help, or are you doing a Khatzumoto-style “listen even though you can’t understand” thing, or do you watch the shows over and over, looking up words as necessary until you understand what is being said, or are you doing something entirely different? It’s a combination of all these things.
see you then brah
but anyways, getting stuff used from amazon isnt as bad as you think, i gots plenty of books from amazon that are used

I got a correction on Lang-8 I don’t understand.
What does「だけ持」 mean?
Let me break this down for you:
懐中電灯 | と | 双眼鏡 | だけ| 持っています.

Not a huge follower of tennis, but Mr Murray strikes me as having some mental issues regarding tennis, rather than issues with skills…he cracks so easily and so severely, he spends so much time battling with himself rather than with his opponent. With that said, I’m worried about our Andy Roddick

Bbvoncrumb: Bear my children, bro.
And no not sure if that’s the right “bear”.
Today, I learned the difference between 「やがて」 and 「まもなく」

While I’m reading my book, I came across something that I have seen a bunch of times but never seemed to fully understand.
The part is the 「との」 part. I’m sure these are 2 particles together but what does it mean?
I just bought whatever book I could afford and seemed reasonable. I don’t really know much about workbooks
the one i got its called 日本語能力試験20日で合格: N2文字・語彙・文法 (but not listening as listening parts cost more than what I could buy at the time of purchase)
If you watch everything in this video, you will find out all the things you need to see in Kyoto other than 金閣寺
