so i listened to a bunch of korean speaking stuff on youtube for the hell of it. then when i tried to re imagine japanese in the head afterwards, it became very vague and that really scared me. it was really weird, it was like exposing myself to smoke and then listening to japanese was clean air (not trying to say that korean is dirty or anything, just saying thats what it felt like).

Today, I would like to talk about a wonderful experience.

I went to the our university’s first JSA meeting. After the meeting (which was really boring because most of it was someone trying to get people into their program in helping people in Africa and a South American country), I stuck with a friend who is taking Asian studies and is learning Japanese.

Long story short, I met some new Japanese friends and spoke Japanese to them almost all the time. And it didnt even occur to me that it was the first for me speaking to a Japanese person in person until I reached my room. A wonderful day. It doesnt even matter if I didn’t submit my assignments today.
