speaking of this grammar point, you can also use this grammar point to tell people not to do something. for you guys that don’t know, this is different that the negative te form. rather than telling someone directly to not do something, the grammar point covered by tae kim is more like saying “that kind of thing is not allowed here”.

If I were you, not only should you start Japanese like every second, but you should also start making money ASAP. You never know if an early surprise graduation is going to come. This is basically my main reason for learning Japanese so its kind of heartening to see someone else to do the same. Just keep repeating this phrase to yourself as motivation:

I’ll be that dude with no life for the next 6 years studying pharmacy. What a typical asian I am. But what I’m planning to do is try to get this scholarship That way, I could finish my studies in Japan. And then live there. MARRY TOMO AND HAVE CHILDREN.
