The quality never bothered me too much. I think this is because of the ever-changing nature of a toddler, and how at any moment, I have to get up, crying out “No, son, don’t do that!” So, I’ve mostly been listening with a few peeks here and there. A lot of DVD releases of US shows – how odd.
But, I will try out these radio stations. Thank you!
I’ve just started with hiragana for now. I’ve got my first anki deck loaded, and have been practicing on realkana. I have this app on my iPod called “Japanese Tracing: Hiragana” to help me learn stroke order. It’s an amazing little app and very helpful.
I have KeyHoleTV playing in the background most times, immersing myself in the sound of the Japanese language. Because I’m still learning the sounds/writing/reading, I don’t know if it’s working, but we’ll see. I do this at least one hour a day, and I’m blessed that my son is pretty good during this time.
I’m taking my time with this, and I’m already happy that I can read some already – I even recognize a few words. Whenever I see Kanji, I get frustrated, but that makes me determined to learn even more.
I’m sorry to hear about your illness. I hope that you have a speedy recovery. Yay, another person from Canada-land (though I’m actually an American expat). I’d love to join the JET program as well, but I have a young son, so I think I might need to discover a different way. I wish you luck (and Dana too)!
I’m listening to an anime called “Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian” on TV Tokyo via KeyholeTV.
A few minutes before, they were playing another cover of “Cruel Angel Thesis” at the tale end of another show.
Seriously, how many times are they going to cover that song?
I learned about Japanese humour, and this phrase made me laugh…

It sounds so polite yet incriminating.
I only wish I had the deep voice to properly say it. Thank you, Japan Times!
Isn’t it via kotoeri on the mac? On this website, he gives instructions on how to enable it in snow leopard.

I hope this helps!
