Thanks マーク, so you would only use この /その / あの when the noun is before the adjective? I’ve just gone back to the relevant textfugu page and there isn’t an example showing it the way I did so I guess I was making things up myself.
I’m trying to make some sentences to help me remember the nouny adverbs from season 4 that I will add to anki.
I’ve come up with this for “very”
あの は とても たかい たてもの です
That is a very tall building
but when I put it into google translate to get an audio version the translation is coming back with “he is a very tall building” unless I take out the は and it becomes “it is that very tall building”.
Am I the one getting it wrong or is it google?
Hello, it sounds like you’re a few couple of chapters in front of me, I’ve not started putting things up for feedback yet.
I’m finding my self towing a bit at the moment with the nouny adverbs some are easy but other’s that have similar meanings are struggle e.g. the ones for sometime/always/generally/continously.
If I knew how to say more sentences it would probably help, for example “continously” I had the idea of the following sentence but am not sure on how to go about translating it:-
“that dog barks continously night and day”

It’s funny you should say buddha as I’ve just that far in the kanji myself, for me it’s a statue of Bootsie Collins in the buddha pose with a stall next to it selling hot cakes (Ho To Ke) also in the shape of buddha.

That’s what you trying to type on an ipad, it took me about five goes what with the auto-correct.

I’ve just got to nouny verbs and it’s flipped the other way around, I’m seeing words I’ve heard a lot and recognise but only now know the meaning.

Didn’t do textfugu kanji or rtk?
I actually remembered that I got the rtk app before starting textfugu but didn’t knowwhat to do with it, butlooking at it now it looks to be quite good.
Personally I’ve been spending time getting the vocab learnt even if it means taking a couple of days off the grammar sections. As I said in another thread it’s nice to start hearing the words in songs and tv shows and know what they mean.

When you say not to bother with the Textfugu Kanji do you mean all of it or just the mnenomics?
As I understand it RTK only gives you the English meaning for the kanji and no reading or vocab?
I’m currently a third of the way through season 4 and am starting to notice where the kanji vocab and the vocab in the chapters connect (particularly the verbs).
