@Joel
Off the top of my head the radical for writing is doll.
August 25, 2012 at 10:31 pm in reply to: TextFugu Season Completions for Great Motivation of Heart! #34938I’m currently getting all the い adjectives from Season 4 memorised, it was a little bit daunting at first but I’m getting there now.
One thing I’ve noticed recently is that I’m recognising a lot more words in tv shows and songs than I was even just a month ago.
I give up, how do you get this thing to show images?
I’m still very new at learning Japanese but I’ve been thinking about the reading for kanji and what comes into your head when you see it.
For example if you’re reading a sentence about a river do you see this or this “RIVER”.
I’m currently at this point too and the thing I’ve been doing is saying the word in my when I do it, granted there are a few that you don’t do on a regular basis if at all but I’m finding that it’s helping me.
Thanks kanjiman, hopefully I’ll get back on track now, I was starting to feel a bit overwhelmed.
I’m currently finding that the large amount of katakana vocab from season three all in one go is making me forget the the hiragana and kanji, in anki I seem to be wading through loads of it before a hiragana or kanji word turns up.
I’d have much preferred it spread out rather than 150 or so words all in one go.
Those are explained at the beginning of chapter three of season two

Just finished season 2, it’s surprising that just a few weeks ago I didn’t understand a word of Japanese, apart from picking out the odd word in anime, but now I’m able to read and speak some sentences, even if they are very basic ones.

Right I’ve just done the anki section that was the next thing down on the page and that has the hiragana above the kanji, I was just suprised to hear something that made no sense from what I’d already learned.
