Why aren’t these quotes still on the front page?
こんにちは!
(Double n!)
Have fun using TextFugu!
Darn it. Do you know of some books that follow the JLPT structure? Hopefully some that are online, and cheap/free. Tanos has a collection, but no explanations…
The thing is, TextFugu would be making money like it used to if Koichi put more effort into it. I know there are people wanting to wait until after the long awaited update to subscribe. Also, it’s too basic for too many people. If he would actually put more content in, more people would have a reason to subscribe. Therefore, more money. Take Myu, the very person that started this thread. She (presumably, from the picture) needs to get her money back because it’s too basic. If Koichi were writing more, he could keep that money, because she wouldn’t already know everything.
That, however, isn’t to say TF isn’t good. It’s just his outright lack of interest that makes me pissed. He’s actually the reason I’m where I am. So I guess I’m eternally grateful, but TF could be so much more than it is right now. All it takes is some hard work. I understand he had a change in thoughts when he decided to start the project codenamed Kuma, but that doesn’t mean he can just go and neglect the very thing that sparked the idea. It feels like abandonment.
Koichi, you’re a cool guy. But you need to finish what you start. That doesn’t mean you can’t work on other things, but don’t take something off the back burner just to put it on a few moments later. However you keep motivated on something, use that for TF. Pretty please?
Also, Tsetsucoon, which book? About how much does it cover, because it sounds like a good price.
Do those guidebooks teach the grammar, and teach it well? Or are they better for practice?

Actually I believe ドイツ came from German; the word Duetschland. They just cut of the land. Although that’s just my guess.

April 28, 2013 at 3:40 pm in reply to: TextFugu Season Completions for Great Motivation of Heart! #39807I couldn’t find this thread for whatever reason! I could’ve Googled it, but that’s too hard! Anyway, I’m on season 7 now! I think my last one in here was season 4, and my have I grown! Season 5 and 7 have been the most useful so far, I think.

April 21, 2013 at 12:25 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #39693A descriptive noun… kind of how like 青空 means blue sky? It’s a noun, but it also has a descriptive feature. In the conversation you had with your friend, why did he or she just say “詳しすぎ” about the world of show business? It’s not an い-adjective, so you can’t just drop です or だ like that, unless it’s a question. Sorry if I’m asking too many questions; I just can’t find where Koichi went over this. In fact, I don’t think he did. :(
April 20, 2013 at 7:13 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #39675A typo, I suspect. If it’s actually written as 弱よわ (and that’s not some sort of copy-paste artefact), I’d even strongly suspect. Which page is it on?
Oops, yeah it’s from the copy and paste. It was furigana above the kanji. The page is: http://www.textfugu.com/season-7/but/4-4/#top
The reason the よわ was there in my example was because I just re-pasted and edited the ending. :/ My bad.

April 20, 2013 at 6:44 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #39670In season 7, Koichi uses “歩いてみましたが足が弱よわすぎでした” as an example. Why did he use the ます stem, as opposed to the actual verb? Why isn’t it 歩いてみましたが足が弱よわすぎました? Thanks… I feel so stupid, because I know I should know this, otherwise it wouldn’t of been there.
April 16, 2013 at 5:22 pm in reply to: The "I found some Japanese I don't understand" thread. #39567If の is a feminine ender, why is the show I’m watching have a male use it? He’s not feminine, in fact, he’s a panda. :/
