Hey Solmors, don’t wait for 5 to do that WaniKani. There is no lifetime sub for WaniKani, only monthly or yearly. So get started before your year runs out!
Everyone’s entitled to their beliefs, 任剣堂. :)
January 1, 2013 at 10:14 am in reply to: When is WaniKani Going to Get Paypal and/or Lifetime Memberships? #37633Considering WaniKani is $100 a year, it would probably be a couple hundred dollars. Yikes. And I believe they chose against PayPal because it’s not as user-friendly as Stripe, or something along those lines. And if needed, maybe you could go out and buy a Vanilla Visa gift card. It should work. It’s Visa, and all of that. I would ask Viet if that would work, seeing as he runs the code and all of that.
Are those crickets I hear?
Oh man that came off wrong! I meant that while Wanikani was flooded, that TF had just 1 thread with a couple of responses! Oh god I sound like an a******. :( I should have clarified further.
Geez people. Wanikani was flooded with people wishing everyone merry christmas. This is just so… sad. :(
Well you might want to try Furigana Injector. Instead of telling you the meaning, it will put the furigana right above the kanji. You can also choose to exclude some kanji I believe. :) https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/furigana-injector/cbahnmcliajmanjkaolemjelphicnein?hl=en
Edit: oops, it does tell you the meaning! My bad! But it won’t unless you scroll over it. The furigana will always be there.

Joel, they don’t have furigana. They have a kanji on/off mode, though. http://i.ytimg.com/vi/MPGBJQcT-ac/0.jpg <-this doesn’t show furigana. Just so Seltox knows before buying. :)
I think it’s because they are just that…. practice sheets. Simply write in whatever, be it kanji, vocab, etc. It’s to practice. At least, I think it is. :)
I’m glad I understood some of that. Except it was the basic things, like 僕 or ロンドン. But take the victories or leave ‘em. I’m gonna take ‘em, ’cause I need them. :)
Thanks guys/girls. I really liked that article. Got me pumped for my Anki session. Been a bit since I’ve said that. :)
I think that certain features, such as progress, may not get implemented until Koichi finishes up his Ruby studies. I don’t think that WordPress would let him do that. But I’m only guessing. I’m no WordPress connoisseur. But I will say something about the lessons… hasn’t Koichi been working on TextFugu for years? I wonder how much content TF had when it was first released. But, either way, thanks Koichi for making a great product. Keep up the good work.
November 28, 2012 at 3:33 pm in reply to: TextFugu Season Completions for Great Motivation of Heart! #37349Finished 4 a bit back, but forgot to post it here. It took me a while, but I was busy getting ahead on vocab! :)
I actually noticed the same. So I sacrificed the audio, and I export each new deck as a text file. I import it back, and it’s fixed. I know it’s redundant, but when I attempt to select it all, and fix it, it says it can’t do multiple card types. It sucks. :( So that works for me, if you’re willing to sacrifice the audio, do it. :)
When talking about an abject, but not saying what it is, use これ. But, say you what to say “this pencil”, instead of “this”. You can’t say これえんぴつ. You change the れ to の. It becomes このえんぴつ. The same applies to それ/その and あれ/あの.
