    Hello!

Yes, let’s not be one of those persons who will not learn the language of the country they are visiting.
I hope you can get far into this textbook before your departure.

    I don’t need help anymore.
I would delete this post if I knew how to.

I have Volume 1 Japanese editions of Yotsubato, Dragon Ball and Naruto on the way.

    Stick close to “kiddish” manga.

Kinokuniya is good if you have one near by.
But online stock isn’t very good, and prices aren’t the best.

Abebooks.com is excellent if you can find what you are looking for.

Honto.jp if they accept your credit card.

I don’t think you can send private messages on Textfugu.

Do you live in the united states?
I do, so I can only really give tips based on my experience shopping from the US.

The manga; “よつばと” is a popular recommendation for beginners.
If you are like me; who highly prefers to read from a physical book, I could give you some tips on where to buy Japanese manga online.

I just started learning Japanese so I just purchased some reading material.

Honestly, I am not using Anki.
I upload all that I need to remember onto a private course on Memrise.com
It’s fun and I find it much, much better then Anki.
It will take some amount of time to enter in what you want to learn, but I love that site so it doesn’t bother me.
What I do is look up all the Vocab, Kanji, ect that is in the lesson ahead of me in my textfugu textbook so when I go through that Textfugu lesson(let’s say it’s 2-2 Kanji) I can go through that Memrise lesson of 2-2 Kanji right after.
