So, since a lot of you have moved on what are YOU using now? Besides textfugu, and why? Are there any other communities out there worth joining?

(Heck, I might drum up my own forum/blog site for people to join and congregate in. Sharing learning experiences and tips and hints. I ran a forum for 3 years for RPGing and I’m no old hat.)

MisterM, I subbed to Jpod101 around 2 years ago. Never saw anything new added. Its not that things are to basic I just want something that will add content to those that are learning the content offered. Granted I’m still basic, I couldn’t string together more than a few sentences. I seem to understand more that I can speak. I’m an avid Anime fan and usually only watch it in Japanese (granted with English subs). I would love to obtain fluency enough to read Visual Novels, manga and of course watch Anime and Drama’s.

I’m also a nurse by trade and would love to find something for translating that would be along those lines. Its a goal at any rate.

Yeah, I believe it has to do with the sites too. Also, its the fact that each of those sites require payment to use once compeleted…..at least WaniKani (I’m not sure about EtoEto). I don’t know about you guys but I don’t have more money to drop on something else, especially when the one I paid for isn’t complete or being updated. What’s to say the new ones will be?

Welcome to Textfugu! I think a LOT of us have the problem of getting stuck and loosing motivation. I’m one of them and its only because I discourage myself, I guess you could say I’m my own worst enemy, lol.

Good luck on your studies! I’ll be trying hard right there with ya.

Welcome! I envy you, you have a practice partner. I to am an avid anime fan and love manga, although I’ve taken a back seat with the translated versions….there just not the same.

I wish you luck in your studies.

Hey, glad to have you! That’s awesome that you have a leg up by practicing with your wife. It should make things go a little quicker for you. Good luck and nice to meet you!
