I have a quick question I keep seeing people downloading/studying iknow’s core 2k/6k what happened to the other sections?
Looks like WaniKani is down again =(
I’m curious too as to what resources/study methods everyone uses. I’m trying to tweak mine and see if I can make some improvements.
@Kanjiman8 thank you very much for posting those reviews, gave me a little more insight on how people use it. Also thought the 2nd website to be worthy of checking out. The reason why I posted that was the same reason when I asked about Iknow, is that I have a really hard time sticking to something that I can study. I keep jumping around and I just have this constant feeling of the way I study is wrong and I should be doing it more efficiently. I think I need to stick to 1-3 websites/tools and that’s it ::sigh:: lol i think i make it more complicated for myself I don’t know why I over think stuff too much.
lol am i missing something here
Wilkommen zu Textfugu, ich hab frueher in Rheinland-Pfalz gewohnt.
To teach you have to have a bachelors degree, it can be in anything. If you have a teaching certificate that will also help get you the job, plus more $$.
What base are you going to? I was in Yokota for 3 years. Best location to be in, in my opinion.
Thank you all for the informative input, and my goal is to become fluent for the long run. So everything is pretty much important to learn I have a hard time deciding what I want to focus on first. I guess I’m leaning more towards being able to speak first but I don’t want to completely ignore Kanji. I tried ReadtheKanji.com and I feel like it’s for people that already know the kanji..the meaning/reading there are a lot of compound Kanji’s that I have no clue what the reading is. Are you supposed to know it already or supposed to look it up first study that and then use that application to help make it sink in.
Maybe I haven’t played with it long enough…
Oh so you just download the core decks and use anki instead? I’m going through RTK but it just bothers me a little that it only teaches you the meaning of it just feel like that I could spend that time more wisely.

Have you tried downloading “manga watcher” it lets you click on different websites that you can download manga from. Not sure about Shaman King but I’ve been reading one piece. Some also have different languages that you can download from as well.

I will be here in Guam until November and then hopefully right after I will take leave and go to Japan to stay there for 2-3 weeks. My goal is to be able to have a decent conversation with my girlfriends Mom that I will meet when going there. Do you guys think using this site as well as Iknow is a good study tool?
