継続は力なり Persistence, turns into power. Or mostly, persistence IS power.

諸行無常 a four kanji idiom meaning, all things are transitory. Or the impermanence of all things.

Um my method is… I learn vocab, and I pick a specific word that uses the 音読み and the 訓読み, and an extra word for any additional readings. Thats about all to be honest.

    Like 変

    変 へん
    変更 へんこう
    変える かえる

HypnoCrown: I don’t know if you missed it or what, but you’re not supposed to translate them at all. AJATT is quite anti-translation in general. Very early on if you’re still new to Japanese you can use translations but they’re meant to be pretty general. So if you can do it without translations, it’d be a better method.

He gives you translations in the sample pack to get you started I believe.

I think people have have worked through English as a 2nd language are probably more qualified to teach it to be honest. Once they have a native to native-like level of fluency.,

There are quite a few and obviously its pretty slang.

Personally I’m starting to like どうも although theres also the stereotypical guy-ish おす.

What MisterM said is indeed true. On older systems where the resolution wasn’t very high, they often used a lot more kana because it would very hard to read otherwise. Chrono Trigger and Zelda is the same.

Do you mean “hey whatsup” as a general greeting. Or do you actually want to know what is up?

    5. Nothing specific comes to mind. Maybe すげぇぇぇ? xD

がる basically makes it third person, so yeah what you said makes sense.

    Android apps!

日本ニュース – A decent Japanese news app

クックパッド – Cookpad app, browse japanese recipes.

漫画の新聞 – Manga News! Although my screen is smaller than the normal screen so it’s useless to me.

    Tae Kim once again.

“Also, you can only use the 「たい」 form for the first-person because you cannot read other people’s mind to see what they want to do. For referring to anyone beside yourself, it is normal to use expressions such as, “I think he wants to…” or “She said that she wants to…” We will learn how to say such expressions in a later lesson. Of course, if you’re asking a question, you can just use the 「たい」 form because you’re not presuming to know anything.”

    So:

    あなた何をしたいんですか?

    彼は野球を遊びたいと思います。

    彼は野球を遊びたいと言いました。

Are good, but you probably know that. It does seem weird that you can’t say it with some certainty. Oh well ^^

    Two words.

    Spaced Repetition

which is what you’re already doing no? You don’t really need to cram them. Don’t be afraid to forget words. Anki will remind you and they actually end up stronger if you forget and remember.

Saying “I want to” is easy. But what do you say for “he wants to”?

The same as “I want to” but just changing the pronoun? Or implied in context? Or maybe I don’t understand the question.
