初めて「お週末」を聞いた。 普通は「週末」だけを聞く.
とにかく,多分大学の宿題をするんだ。
Umm man I thought I replied to this and then came back and i hadn’t. Way too tired right now.
Anyway, http://www.bk1.jp/product/83870316 Although Japanese websites probably aren’t the best since I believe the Japanese pay quite a lot for dvds there. Kind of odd considering how incredibly cheap rental is.
But yeah Amazon is pretty sweet too. YesAsia is ok, but their prices are upmarked a bit more than usual and their base is in Hong Kong so you gotta make sure you aren’t accidentally buying a Chinese copy.
Also, It’s always going to be a little bit better to watch movies that are written and acted in Japanese. Theres a lot more to language than just the words. You learn a lot about contextual language and general habits. (from slice of life style shows anyway)

Wow, what sort of brushes/paint did you use for that? It’s awesome.
Hmm could be interesting, but it seems like a lot of effort for little return, as not that many people are gonna use 3000+ anyway, and usually a dictionary suffices really well.
Unless you wanna become a kanji master and like..compete in Japan lol

Katakana is fun because it means you can read a lot of stuff in Japanese easily.
Also I just finished my Japanese final. Did ok, although the moment I walked into my home I realised I stuffed up a few of the small questions. (Damn you なんなんです！！！)
Should we remake a single RTK thread, if me or you makes it we can give a good explanation and links in the original post.

行くんですか is using the “のです” grammar point. Basically (for verbs) what you do is make the verb plain form and then add “のです”. However this is almost always shortened to “んです” because it’s a million times smoother.
What this does is change it to an explanation, or if its a question, you are asking for an explanation. So basically instead of asking for a simple answer, you want more details. It’s kind of like where your wife goes “Where are you going?!” Its not a simple question ,she wants some details dammit. So i.e I’m going out to visit Joe.
Its a very common spoken style, (so usually not in writing or in casual spoken style writing). You can also apply it to adjectives and nouns, and it also comes in plain form (んだ）. I don’t think Koichi has a lesson on it yet, but you can check out more details here, just go down to “Using の as an explanation”

P.s you’ll soon learn that “です” is combined with a lot of different types of statements.
