I prefer wanikani myself and have completely switched to it for all radicals, kanji and kanji based vocab.
The reviews do pile up, but that’s because people just rush ahead and don’t pace themselves. You don’t have to do the lessons as soon as they are available to you. If you wait until you are ready for adding more reviews to do the lessons, you will find you don’t get overwhelmed as much. Of course you don’t level up as fast as if you rushed through it, but it helps me actually retain the knowledge.

The reason I was planning to wait to start it then is because I have heard that season 4 and 5 are full of vocab, so I will probably be struggling to just keep up with that.
Edit: I just took a look at it, the study lessons are pretty cool. I think I might use it now, but just to keep up with TF and reinforce what I have learned there.

I am using a couple other things for learning as well, Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur. TextFugu is by far the best of the three, but the other two help solidify everything. I also have a lifetime sub at wanikani and gakuu, but I think I will wait until after I finish chapter 5 to check those out.

What is the problem you are having?
I was able to import all my TF anki decks to anki 2. The only thing I dont like about anki 2 is they made it more difficult to import a deck into another deck. Every time I add a new anki deck from TF I have to import it as its own, new deck, then go into deck browser, select the new deck on the left side, Ctrl+A to select all the cards in the new deck, click change deck button then select the deck and press ok. Easy enough when you get used to it, but still a pain compared to the old way.
That being said, I would never go back to the old way. Since it stores the sound with it, I can use it on my phone, laptop and work computer and still have the pronunciations.
