Try to associate the word with the action itself
I will definitely use this approach.
Every drop in the bucket helps fill it!what i meant by that is before i study on Anki or anything, i will try to focus on learning 3-4 new terms. That way when they come up, i will (hopefully) remember and know them.
Every drop in the bucket helps fill it!Look at you lucky kids. Having a school nearby that teaches Japanese. I don’t exactly live in the sticks, but the nearest school that has Japanese classes is an hour and half away. No bueno with my work. I would totally go back to college and major in Japanese if i could.

Every drop in the bucket helps fill it!Just to help others who may find this thread with the same question, can you please tell us where it was/is?
Every drop in the bucket helps fill it!Hey, welcome. You are a lot like myself. While i am REALLY new here, i too have been fascinated with the Japanese, while not being crazy for the “Otaku” culture. What really inspired me to learn was after the 3/11 tsunami. When i saw the destruction and discord, i was astonished and speechless.
Then i saw that the people would wait in lines, sometimes for hours, to get into a simple grocery store and get food. That footage on the news strangely struck me with awe. Where i live, those stores would have been looted and ransacked instantly. But the Japanese are so diligent in following direction. It is so backwards from where i live, where the general attitude is “me first, and SCREW YOU.” Everything they did was as they were asked.
I cannot wait to visit one day. Glad you are learning with the rest of us man.
Every drop in the bucket helps fill it!Where did you go to exactly in Japan? How long did you stay? I want a recap! It is exciting to go to other countries, isn’t it?
