    なって is the て-form of なる, “to become”. て-form + 欲しい = want some verb to take place. 好きになる = come to like, fall in love, et cetera.

    So yeah, your translation is correct.

    Omigosh thank you. >w<;
    I actually just learned about たーforms a couple of days ago, so I don’t really know what て-forms are all about yet. So I assumed it was just some kind of variation of “to become”. The problem I had was that I kept trying to translate it too literally. So I kept reading it as, “I like to become want.” Which of course makes no sense, at least in English. I didn’t realize that なる could be used in a sentence like this. Because of that it throw me off for a while. xD (I also didn’t realize that 好きになる = “fall in love”. So that’s really handy to know! :D)

    Anyway, thanks again. ;3

    *Rises from the ashes*
    Hey guys! I need some help understanding this sentence! D:
    (It’s something from a otome game. Love-dovey samurai stuff. c: …<3)

    This sentence has been driving me crazy for the past two days. Because I know every word, but when I tried to understand it in English…It just didn’t make sense.

    「俺を好きになってほしいんだ。。。だめかな?」

    Now after doing a bit of research I’ve come to the possible conclusion that what he’s saying is,
    I want you to like/love me…Is that wrong? :)
    So far it makes the most sense. But I still could be wrong. T-T;

    “なって” is the part that’s been really throwing me off the most.

    Hey,I’m wondering if anyone knows what “げーのー人” means?
    I was playing クマトモ (A really cute game 3DS game where your goal is to become best friends with a teddy bear. Sounds strange, but I assure, it’s such a lovable game) last night, and the teddy bear asked me who my favorite げーのー人 was.

    From the context… I think it’s like a proformer? Or someone famous? I tried looking it up, but wasn’t able to find it in a dictionary. I dunno, I’d just like to know the real definition. Hopefully I’m on the right track. (・□・;)

    As Jason already said, It already works really well through a browser on your phone.

    There isn’t really a point to make a whole new app for it.

    I typically always use Textfugu through my tablet anyway, and I’ve found it to be great.
