There’ll always be a special place in my heart for metal, lol, my brother is a huge metalhead.
Definitely hit me up sooner than later, man, even if it’s just for a random chat. It helps a lot to include someone else into something you’re studying — at least, that’s been my experience. It takes some guts, but I’m learning that the sooner you do it, the sooner it gets done lol.
If you’re writing the passion list on your Note 8.0, then you’ll have to figure out how to set the tablet to type hiragana. There’s probably an app for it, but I don’t have / use one, so you’re probably better off googling “how to type hiragana on note 8.0″ or something.
Hey, man, you seem like a pretty cool guy! I’m pretty new here also, and I’m in somewhat a similar boat; I’ve been studying Japanese on my own for some time now, so I have a bit more experience under my belt. Despite that, however, I’ve started from the beginning on textfugu, to more solidify the basics, and just to make sure there’s nothing left undone on the foundation.
Anyway, if you ever want to talk / practice, shoot me an email, or hit me up on skype (skype name is tokugijoo). I’m a musician too, maybe we could collab on something lol.
Totally, man, I run a youtube where I put up free lesson/licks for jazz. They’re made for people who are kinda’ already into jazz, but there are a lot of great resources on there for learning.
If you’re really actually interested in learning a bit, I’d be totally down to help/answer any questions you have about it. Let me just say that way too many people make it way more complicated than it is! A lot like learning Japanese, lol.
Anyway, if you click on “video games” in my signature here under this message, it’ll bring you to my youtube channel.
Yea’, man, I can dig it. Fun j-pop melodies are fun.
I actually play bebop jazz, principally. I can play almost everything, except for classical guitar stuff, I have a pretty awful classical fingerpicking technique.
You ever think about playing jazz? There are a lot of crazy/whacky chords going on that involve minor/major 7 chords, and beyond.
Do you have any of your stuff on hand? I’d be down to listen, man.
How’s it goin’, Michael?
What a coinkee-dink, I happen to be a 24 year-old musician as well! What do you play, man?
