Lucky you… seriously, I’ve always wanted to do an exchange program but I’m in college now (for game design). Well maybe if all goes well I may one day get a job for game design in Japan… Fingers crossed… Good Luck to you too :D
The one that shows kanji is pretty awesome, but I guess until a make a Japanese friend who could help me out I’ll just have to stick with katakana. Oh well
I’ve got another Quest(ion) for you guys. トム ジェンセン would technically bet the phonetic spelling of my name, however I was wondering if that type of spelling happens often in Japan or should I look into finding some kanji for my name and how would I go about doing that. I really am a bit clueless, after all I am a bit new to this whole ‘Japanese’ thing.
Thanks, and I’m glad people are enjoying the thread :D
Welcome aboard… I hope you enjoy your stay!

Just reading the site on a phone is cool, but streamlining the whole thing into its own app would be even cooler. The whole site (most likely) is out of the question, but study tools for on the go would be rock solid.
Just say “I can do it”, “Why stop now?”, and before you know it you’ll be knowing Japanese! Good Luck!
Thanks for the help, counters make much more sense now :D
The kids books actually have quite a substantial amount of text (all in Hiragana :D) and a good amount of vocab that’s easy to figure out. Based on what I see I would definitely recommend downloading them if you need practice. Thanks for the good find.
Thanks for that one, if not for practice then at least entertainment. I’ll check em’ out and see if it’s worth looking more into.
Children’s books actually sounds promising… I wonder if I could find any scanned online or something.
