    I just replied to this and then it didn’t post….

    Anyway, thank you for the long reply. I do really like the methods you stated except I find it hard to go around saying random words without it being the proper context for the words. These situation come up very seldom as well with the limited vocabulary I have so it tends to become difficult.

    What does one mean by “Japanese Pens”? Like just a fountain pen? Or is there some sort of specific Japanese pen that writes a certain way. Because if there is a pen that can make my Hiragana and Kanji look more like a real person wrote them and not a monkey that would be sweet.

    I’ll have to check it out. I was thinking about using the Genki workbook but figured it would just make more sense to use the Genki textbook as well and I don’t feel like I need to do both TextFugu and Genki right now as they will cover similar information. As for the Minna no Nigongo, I’m going to have to look into that as it may be helpful. I really want to be more conversational in the language so everyday talking points would be helpful to fill the gaps and keep things fresh in between learning the grammar.
