A few weeks late, but it was hard! Listening was the hardest, as I expected.
The reading comprehension section was hard in just the amount of time it took to read (such child like reading speed!). I felt fairly pleased with how I went in that section, considering.
It did feel rushed at times, I did expect a little more time per question – but then again, I’m not advanced.Overall, glad I did it, was worth it. I liked having something to work toward.
I don’t use WK, don’t I understand it is active and well used. If you have it use it for kanji, rather than the kanji in TF.
Good point Mr. I was posting for a while before I was able to understand them and make the most of them.
Thanks!

This may be a little old school or unpopular, but I’d suggest just writing out the hiragana, all of them, to begin with. It may seem a bit naff, but I think you can learn them fairly quickly that way.
I’m looking to translate this sentence from a book into Japanese:
“Then he and Frog ran outside to see how the world was looking in the spring.”
In particular I’m not sure who to treat this part – “how the world was looking”
Any suggestions?
Yeah!
Hang on, I don’t get it.September 29, 2013 at 7:07 pm in reply to: Hi guys (& gals)! / Konnichiwa! – from a female tertiary student in Oceania #42043Hi
Good to hear of your enthusiasm. Good luck.
Oceania is a very big place….care to narrow it down a bit?
I think you’d describe it as ‘writing’ hiragana.
I have heard of people importing manga/anime and being arrested due to its sexual nature. Tricky stuff.
A Kazushi Sakuraba book. It is a pretty expensive endeavour, so it has to be something rare.
Good work Joel. As long as both of your feet aren’t left feet it is all good.
Mark – I’ve been picking up some new grammar from TK, trying to listen regularly (Genki CD, anime) and cram new vocab.
What’s the book about listening?I’ve looked at past samples & other guidelines, they felt about right for me.
Booked in for the test today! Should do some study…
Is she getting you to do that at normal pace or slowed down? To me it sounds like she is trying to get you hold the sound & is just using this method to get it coming out correctly.

Any podcasts (heaps of free ones on iTunes) and watch movies, TV shows or anime, whatever takes your fancy. -
